This policy explains what information testerdigital collects when you visit testerdigital.ca, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve kept it short and plain.
Who we are
testerdigital is a digital marketing agency based in Ottawa, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information collected through testerdigital.ca and for handling it in line with Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA — the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act).
For any questions about this policy or your information, contact:

What we collect
When you contact us. When you fill out our contact form or book a call through Calendly, you give us information directly — typically your name, email address, organization or campaign, and the message you send. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and to follow up about a potential working relationship.
When you visit any page. Our analytics and advertising tools automatically collect technical information about your visit. This includes your IP address (often anonymized), browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, the approximate region you’re visiting from, and how long you stay. We use this to understand which pages are useful, where our visitors come from, and which marketing efforts are working.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
How we use the information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and have follow-up conversations with prospective clients
- Understand and improve how our website performs
- Measure the results of our digital advertising
- Show our ads to relevant audiences on Meta and Google’s platforms
We do not sell personal information. Ever.
Who we share it with
We share information only with:
- Service providers we use to run the business — for example, our website hosting provider, our calendar booking tool (Calendly), and the email and CRM tools we use to manage client relationships. These providers are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
- Analytics and advertising platforms — Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta Pixel collect information about your visit as described above. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies (links below).
- As required by law — for example, in response to a valid legal request from a Canadian authority.

Cookies and tracking
testerdigital.ca uses cookies and similar technologies for two purposes:
- Analytics — Google Analytics helps us understand how the site is being used in aggregate.
- Advertising — Google Ads and Meta Pixel allow us to measure conversions from our advertising and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site.
You can opt out at any time by:
- Adjusting your browser settings to block or limit cookies (most browsers offer this in Settings → Privacy)
- Using the official opt-out tools — Google: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout · Meta: https://www.facebook.com/help/568137493302217
- Installing a privacy-focused browser extension that blocks trackers
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
- Withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) if you believe your information has been mishandled
To exercise any of these rights, email dean@testerdigital.ca and we will respond within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep contact and inquiry information for as long as is reasonably necessary to manage the business relationship — typically up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we are actively working together. After that, we delete it or anonymize it.
Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the platforms’ own retention policies — generally 14 months for Google Analytics 4 and similar timeframes for Meta and Google Ads.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. The site runs over HTTPS, and we use reputable third-party providers for hosting, analytics, scheduling, and communications. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we treat your information with the care a Canadian agency should.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. For material changes, we’ll add a more visible notice on the site.
