We've spent more than a decade working alongside Canada's top Conservative campaigns. We know how the movement works because we've been part of it — not as observers, but as operators.
testerdigital is a boutique Conservative political and advocacy digital marketing firm based in Ottawa, founded in 2015. We are deliberately small — because small means every account is handled by Dean or Grant directly, not handed off to a junior. There are no approval chains. We tell you what we actually think.
We don't take on every client. We work almost exclusively with Conservative political parties, candidates, and riding associations, and right-of-centre advocacy organizations. That focus makes us better at what we do. We don't have to learn Canadian Conservative politics — we've lived it.
Our work has helped elect Premiers and MPs from coast to coast, built some of the largest political email lists in the country, raised millions of dollars for the Conservative cause, and delivered the Ontario PC Party's most recent full rebrand.
Two senior operators with insider knowledge of how Canadian conservative politics actually works.
Dean grew up near North Bay, Ontario and graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Journalism. He entered Conservative politics working in Tim Hudak's leader's office at Queen's Park before moving to Conservative Party of Canada headquarters on Parliament Hill.
At CPC HQ, his title was Social Media Manager — but his role functioned as a digital director. He built and ran the party's national digital campaign infrastructure from the ground up. In 2015, he founded testerdigital to bring that expertise directly to Conservative campaigns across the country.
Dean has helped elect four Premiers: Scott Moe, Jason Kenney, Heather Stefanson, and Doug Ford. His campaigns have reached millions of Canadians and raised millions of dollars.
Before joining testerdigital in 2018, Grant served as Director of Research and Public Affairs for a major Canadian industry association — making him the team's natural lead for GR and advocacy clients. Before that, he worked in senior communications roles on Parliament Hill.
Grant is a veteran of dozens of political campaigns at all levels of government across the country. He is also the founder of FreeMyBooze — a grassroots digital advocacy campaign that permanently changed the way Ontarians can purchase alcohol. Proof that the tools of political campaigning work just as well for advocacy causes.
Grant's non-political background isn't a footnote — it's why GR firms and industry associations trust us with their campaigns.
We work with Conservative political parties, candidates, associations, and right-of-centre advocacy organizations — and that's it.
That focus isn't a marketing position. It's how we do our best work. We believe in the Conservative cause. We know the movement. We know the people. We speak the vocabulary. We know what Conservative voters care about because we've spent years studying and working with them. That makes us better at this than any generalist agency that "also does political."
It also means you can trust us. When you share your supporter data, your fundraising numbers, your internal strategy — you're sharing it with people who are on your side.
You're not handed to a junior. Dean or Grant works every account, personally.
Politics doesn't wait. Neither do we. Small team means no approval chains.
We tell you what's working and what isn't. No spin about your own results.
Political clients need confidentiality. We treat every client relationship accordingly.
